Vi Invest AB was founded in 1988 under the name Milk and Coffee. Vi Invest is run and owned by myself, Martin Hosseini and my childhood friend Jounan Abboud.
Our journey started when we bought the tavern Lorry in the Sundbyberg area, a suburb of Stockholm and that led to the acquisition of many famous and popular restaurants in Stockholm, among others, Bäckahästen, Crazy Horse, Restaurant Victoria and Restaurant Rökeriet Fjäderholmarna.
In 1999 we decided on changing our business idea from focusing mainly on restaurants to focusing on the Hotel Industry! Our first hotel was Hotel Bentleys on popular Drottninggatan in Stockholm with 40 rather simple rooms in a part of the building housing the hotel. After we succeeded in taking over the entire building and a massive refurbishment the hotel is now chic boutique hotel with 119 rooms and an atrium with 17-meter glass ceiling.
Since then we have expanded with the addition of the Vanadis Hotel & Bad as well as Hotel Karlaplan. In 2013 we acquired the Hotel Gamla Stan on Skeppsbron in the charming Old Town and plans are on the way for a total refurbishment of this property.
Our Most recent project is Hotel Urliksdal in collaboration with AC Mariott, which is still in the building stage. It is situated in the fast-developing area of Ulriksdal, where housing, offices, Health services, schools, shopping is planned.
The hotel is estimated to boast 230 rooms and the initial opening is planned in 2019.
